ABOUT US

We are a team working on all In Service airframe engineering support aspects. We deal with a wide range of topics around in Service queries providing standard but also custom in-service solutions to our customers to enable quick return to service. We are an international, dynamic and experienced team working jointly with our other engineering centers located in Asia and the US providing fast and reliable service.

With us you will learn the end to end repair process, focusing on Design , Stress, Authoring as well as a chance to work on interesting projects along the way focusing always on customer and in-service operations.

Below you will find the different roles and expectations from an Airframe In service engineer. 

Details & conditions may vary according to the role. 

Suitable candidates will be selected to join individual teams based on their skills.

 

YOUR FLIGHT PLAN

For Daily Repair Activities:

- Analyze damage reports and provide repair instructions enabling quick return to service of the aircraft (passengers may be waiting on board)

- Approve the technical repair design solutions in accordance with AIRBUS methods and principles 

- Support and approve technical solutions proposed by our extended team (subcontractors or other Airbus Engineering centres)

- Coordinate with all interfaces on a daily basis (internal or external Customer representatives, other physical aircraft components, other functions as needed ..)

- Analyze recurring cases and develop generic solutions to provide more autonomy to our internal/external customers

For Major Repair Activities:

- Analyze damage reports and provide repair instructions to aircraft in maintenance

- Approve the technical repair design solutions in accordance with AIRBUS methods and principles 

- Provide engineering support & expertise to Airlines for damage assessment and repair embodiment

- Coordinate with all interfaces on a daily basis (internal or external Customer representatives, other physical aircraft components, other functions as needed ..)

- Develop design solutions by anticipation and optimize them according to the manufacturing end of production & spare consumption

For Structure Repair Manual (SRM) activities: 

- Support and Approve the SRM design repair principles (new or updated ones)

- Coordinate activities between SRM team and the relevant involved departments (internal or external to Airbus) involving technical experts/senior management when needed

- Perform final validation of repair and allowable damage tasks before publication to our customers

- Propose and implement ideas to make sure the  SRM is available 100% at Entry Into Service and with highest standards on quality

- Improve continuously the SRM product for the satisfaction of our customers

For all above activities:

- Contribute to team efficiency by proposing improvement and sustainable initiatives : digitalization, automation, innovation, repair by replace

- Influence new aircraft design by sharing your knowledge of in-service operations

WORKING ENVIRONMENT SPECIFICATIONS :

Working time

- Daily  activities :  Out of office hours support is required (shift and/or standby)

- Major activities : On-site Support requiring, traveling is required, standby is required

- SRM :  N/A

Aircraft programme & Component

- Multli-programmes Fuselage or Propulsion/Nacelles 

- A220 full Airframe

Some roles may involve worldwide travel for business and as such you must be able and willing to travel accordingly

YOUR BOARDING PASS

 

We are looking for candidates with the following experience and competences:

• You are educated to a 3 to 5 years degree level in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines

• You have a strong knowledge of overall aircraft design and primary structure principles and understanding of stress and airworthiness requirements

• You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in design of metallic and/or composite structures 

•  You have a good knowledge of design tools (CATIA V5…), knowledge of AIRBUS tools & manuals (GILDA, SRM, NTM…) is a plus

• You have a strong sense of responsibility and are willing to develop yourself to gain AIRBUS technical signature delegations

• You bring desirably first experiences in project management methods and agile  

• You speak and write English and French with an advanced  level

• Knowledge on Aircraft programmes & components mentioned above is a strong plus

• Knowledge of Customer Operations, Product Integrity / Liability and Maintenance Operations would be appreciated

Nous sommes une équipe travaillant sur tous les aspects de support technique sur les avions en service. 

Nous traitons un large éventail de sujets autour des demandes clients en fournissant des solutions standard mais aussi personnalisées à nos clients pour permettre un retour rapide en service. 

Nous sommes une équipe internationale, dynamique et expérimentée travaillant conjointement avec nos autres centres d'ingénierie situés en Asie et aux États-Unis offrant un service rapide et fiable.

Avec nous, vous apprendrez le processus de réparation de bout en bout, en vous concentrant sur la conception, le dimensionnement,  la documentation, ainsi que la possibilité de travailler sur des projets intéressants orientés sur les opérations client et en service.

VOTRE PLAN DE VOL

Pour les réparations mineures :

- Analyser les rapports de dommages et fournir des instructions de réparation permettant une remise en service rapide de l'avion (des passagers peuvent attendre à bord)

- Approuver les solutions techniques de réparation en accord avec les méthodes et principes AIRBUS.

- Supporter et approuver les solutions techniques proposées par notre équipe étendue (sous-traitants ou autres centres Airbus Engineering)

- Coordonner avec toutes les interfaces au quotidien (représentants clients internes ou externes, autres composants physiques de l'avion, autres fonctions selon les besoins..)

- Analyser les cas récurrents et développer des solutions génériques pour donner plus d'autonomie à nos clients internes/externes.

Pour les réparations majeures :

- Analyser les rapports de dommages et fournir des instructions de réparation aux avions en maintenance.

- Approuver les solutions techniques de réparation en accord avec les méthodes et principes AIRBUS.

- Fournir du support et de l’expertise bureau d’étude aux compagnies pour des évaluations de dommages sur site et implémentations de solutions de réparation 

- Coordonner avec toutes les interfaces au quotidien (représentants clients internes ou externes, autres composants physiques de l'avion, autres fonctions selon les besoins..)

- Développer des solutions de conception par anticipation et les optimiser en fonction de la fabrication, de la fin de la production et de la consommation des pièces de rechange

Pour le manuel de réparation structure (Activités SRM) : 

- Supporter et approuver les principes de conception de réparation du SRM (nouveaux ou mis à jour)

- Coordonner les activités entre l'équipe SRM et les départements concernés (internes ou externes à Airbus).

- Effectuer la validation finale des tâches de réparation et de dommages admissibles avant la publication à nos clients

- Proposer et mettre en œuvre des idées pour s'assurer que le SRM est disponible à 100 % à l'entrée en service et avec les normes de qualité les plus élevées

- Améliorer continuellement le produit SRM pour la satisfaction de nos clients

Pour toutes les activités ci-dessus :

- Contribuer à l'efficacité de l'équipe en proposant des initiatives d'amélioration et durables : digitalisation, automatisation, innovation, réparation plutôt que remplacement

- Influencer la conception de nouveaux avions en partageant votre connaissance des opérations en service

 

ENVIRONNEMENT DE TRAVAIL 

Temps de travail 

- Réparations mineures : Support en dehors des heures standards requis (24/7 travail en équipe et/ou astreinte)

- Réparation majeures : Support sur site (déplacements), astreintes en dehors des heures standards requis

- SRM : N/A

- Multiprogrammes , fuselage ou ensemble propulsif/Nacelles

- A220 Avion complet

Certains rôles peuvent impliquer des voyages d’affaires, vous devez être capable et disposé à voyager en conséquence.

 

VOTRE CARTE D'EMBARQUEMENT

Nous recherchons des candidats ayant l'expérience et les compétences suivantes :

• Vous avez un diplôme Bac+3 à Bac+5 dans l'ingénierie mécanique ou aérospatiale (ou disciplines équivalentes) 

• Vous avez une forte connaissance des principes de construction des avions et de leurs structures primaires, et avez une compréhension de l’analyse des contraintes et des exigences réglementaires

• Vous avez au moins 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en conception des structures métalliques et/ou composites.  

• Vous avez une bonne connaissance des outils de conception (CATIA V5…), la connaissance des outils et manuels AIRBUS (GILDA, SRM, NTM…) est un plus

• Vous avez un fort sens des responsabilités et êtes volontaire pour vous développer et obtenir les délégations de signature technique AIRBUS

• Vous apportez idéalement une première expérience en gestion de projet et méthodes agile

• Vous parlez couramment Anglais et Français

• Des connaissances sur les programmes avions et composants cités ci-dessus est un fort atout

• La connaissance des Opérations en compagnie ou en maintenance ainsi que de l'intégrité des produits (navigabilité) et les responsabilités légales seraient appréciées
